From two century-old Spanish period monuments of stones to beautiful traditional weaving-the hablon; from sumptuous food and delicacies to music and performing arts; from forest covered mountain peak and lush valley of rock formations to scenic farmlands and vegetable gardens;

from stretch of sandy beaches to thick mangrove forest; from pre-colonial legends of Mangao Lord of Argao and the mystic maiden Maria Cacao to illustrious Argawanons, Argao
is the beacon, bastion and center of heritage activism in Cebu.

Since its revival, the women and a few men have return to this ancient practice of hablon. Through the convergence of Cebu Technological University-Argao Campus, the Cebu Provincial Government,the Department of Trade and Industry, Cebu Designer Dexter Alasas, LGU of Argao Mayor Dr.Stanley Caminero and under the helm of Dr. Jorelyn Concepcion, Hablon de Cebu, Handwoven in Argao is makes a lasting comeback.
